Education

Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree or higher

Experience

• If you hold a Master’s Degree (or equivalent): 12 months of internal auditing experience or its equivalent

• If you hold a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent): 24 months of internal auditing experience or its equivalent

• If you hold an Associate’s Degree, A-Level Certificate (or equivalent): 60 months of internal auditing experience or its equivalent 

Exam

• Achieve a minimum score of 600 (out of 700) on the three-part exam administered by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)

• The IIA offers exams in many languages, get in touch to see which languages are currently available
  

License

• Meet the education requirements

• Pass the three-part exam

• Submit a Character Reference Form signed by a CIA, CGAP, CCSA, CFSA, CRMA, or the candidate’s supervisor

• Meet the experience requirements

• Abide by the Code of Ethics established by The IIA
